How do I install RV Guardian?

Android: install it from Google Play. Windows: open rvguardianapp.com/app.html in Chrome or Edge and choose Install. Mac: in Safari, File › Add to Dock; or Install in Chrome or Edge. iPhone and iPad: open it in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. You can also just use it in any web browser.

Do I need an account?

No. Everything for your own rig works without one, and your records stay on your device. An account is needed to post reviews and questions, to get notifications, and for Guardian Pro.

Does it work with no signal?

Your records, checklists, glovebox card and fix guides work with no signal. A planned route keeps guiding with no signal too, including clearance, grade and curve warnings. Searching for places, weather and live traffic need a connection.

Your rig and records

How do I change my rig’s height, length or weight?

Tap the ⚙ button (Rig profile), change the details and tap Save rig profile. Routing warnings and Rig Fit Check use these numbers, so keep them right.

How do I back up my data?

Rig profile › Back up my data saves a file you can keep. You can restore it on any device. With Guardian Pro your records are also backed up to your account automatically.

My phone says I need Pro to add a second rig

The free plan has one rig and four RV navigation trips. Guardian Pro adds unlimited rigs. Records and rigs you already have are never removed.

What does Guardian Pro include?

Unlimited rigs, unlimited RV-safe navigation, cloud backup and sync across your phone and computer, finding RV technicians near you, your own maintenance items, sharing a rig with a co-owner, PDF and CSV service history, spending insights and priority support.

How do I subscribe or cancel?

Subscribe in the RV Guardian Android app (Rig profile › Guardian Pro). Cancel any time in Google Play › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions. Pro keeps working until the end of what you paid for.

I subscribed but Pro isn’t on

Make sure you’re logged in to the same RV Guardian account. Then open Rig profile › Guardian Pro › Restore purchase. Still stuck? Contact us.

Can I add my own maintenance items?

With Guardian Pro: open the Log tab, find Your own maintenance items and tap Add. Give it a name (like “Replace water filter”), pick the system and say how often, in months, miles or both. Log when you last did it and it is tracked and reminded like the built-in ones. The free plan has the usual list: oil, filters, tires, roof seal, winterizing and more.

How do I find an RV technician near me?

With Guardian Pro: when a fix guide says the job is for a certified technician, tap Find an RV technician near me. It lists RV repair shops, dealers and mobile technicians (who can come to your campsite) around you, nearest first, with a call button. You can also open the Places tab and choose RV repair. Listings don’t say who is certified, so ask whether they are RVIA or NRVTA certified and whether they work on your kind of rig.

How do I share a rig with my spouse or co-owner?

With Guardian Pro: Rig profile › Share, then Make an invite code and send it to them. They log in on their phone, open Rig profile and tap Join a rig with a code. A code works once, for 7 days.

Trips and places

How many RV navigation trips are free?

Four. A trip is a route planned for your RV from a start, through any stops, to a destination. Planning the same places again doesn’t use another one, routes you already planned still open, and car directions are never limited. After the fourth, Guardian Pro gives you unlimited RV navigation.

Why didn’t a bridge or low-clearance warning appear?

Warnings depend on map data and on the height you entered, and map data can be incomplete. Never rely on the app alone: watch for signs and know your rig’s real height.

Location and notifications

The app asks before using your location and works without it. Turn notifications on or off in the app (Rig profile, or from Home), and in your phone’s settings. On iPhone and iPad, notifications work once the app is added to the Home Screen.

Your account and privacy

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Rig profile › Account › Delete my account. Or on the web: rvguardianapp.com/delete-account.html. This removes everything for good. If you subscribed to Pro, cancel it in Google Play first.

What do you do with my information?

Read the Privacy Policy. In short: no ads, no selling data, no tracking tools.
